Anthony Lawman – Artist
I am primarily a plein aire watercolour artist, but oils have been featuring more ,often as the weather dictates. For the last two years I have painted with the Brass Monkeys, in and around London. We are a loose group, who paint throughout the whole year, and encourage others to join us to experience the beauty, and difficulty of plein aire painting.
I have been painting most of my life, for the last fifteen years as Chairman of the prestigious Tadworth Art Group, in Surrey. I now teach and demonstrate to groups in the South East, and feature in the Leisure Painter magazine.
I have been resident artist for the Tadworth Court Childrens Trust, and help to foster art through them, participating in their exhibitions, and judging the childrens work.
Previous exhibitions have included an extremely successful solo at the Mine Gallery in Carshalton Surrey, two exhibitions per year with the Tadworth Art Group, and featuring in Galleries in the South East.
Mainly a landscape /marine/townscape artist, but figure studies and portraits have featured more recently, and I will undertake private commissions.
